Canada’s Premiers to Meet on Jobs and Economic Growth

November 14, 2013 – Canada’s Premiers will meet in Toronto on Friday, November 15 for the Council of the Federation fall meeting. The meeting will take place at the Omni King Edward Hotel and will focus on growing the economy, building a skilled labour force and attracting investment to Canada.

“I look forward to welcoming my colleagues back to our beautiful province,” said Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Chair of the Council. “I look forward to the conversation on the economy, skills and training, health care, retirement income and infrastructure.”

A closing news conference is planned for the afternoon of November 15.

The Council of the Federation comprises all 13 provincial and territorial Premiers. It enables Premiers to work collaboratively, form closer ties, foster constructive relationships between governments, and show leadership on important issues that matter to Canadians.
