Yukon Premier Darrell Pasloski to lead Canadian delegation at North American Summit of Governors and Premiers

October 21, 2015 – The 2015 Summit of North American Governors and Premiers is being jointly hosted by the National Governors Association (NGA), the Council of the Federation (COF) and the National Conference of Governors of Mexico (CONAGO).

Darrell Pasloski, Vice-Chair of COF, will represent Canada’s Premiers at the Summit, which will be held on October 31, 2015, in Colorado Springs. Stephen Horsman, New Brunswick’s Deputy Premier, will also attend.

“Strengthening relations with the U.S. and Mexico is a priority for Premiers. I am pleased to be attending the Summit as a representative of all Premiers and will report back to my colleagues on the Summit outcomes at the next meeting of the Council of the Federation,” said Pasloski.

The Summit will focus on promoting economic development and trade through improvements and innovations in infrastructure and supply chain management, skills and training, and technology.

Media who wish to register for the Summit are asked to contact Lindsay de Leeuw at lindsay@canadaspremiers.ca.

The Council of the Federation comprises all 13 provincial and territorial Premiers. It enables Premiers to work collaboratively, form closer ties, foster constructive relationships between governments, and show leadership on important issues that matter to Canadians.
