Council of the Federation to Meet in Ottawa on January 15, 2009
OTTAWA, January 13, 2009 – As Chair of the Council of the Federation, Québec Premier Jean Charest announced that the Council will meet in Ottawa on Thursday, January 15.
Location: Fairmont Château Laurier Hotel, 1 Rideau Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
Time: Provincial and territorial Premiers will meet for a private session from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Information for Media: A uni-mic will be available in the lobby of the Fairmont Château Laurier Hotel at 2:00 p.m. There will be a media photo opportunity at 3:00 p.m. at the start of the meeting.
Media are asked to register in advance by sending their name, media outlet and phone number to [email protected]. Media must register upon arrival at the meeting and obtain an identification badge, which must be worn at all times.
